<h3>Overview</h3> Help transform youth mental healthcare. Daybreak Health partners with 100+ school districts and Kaiser Permanente to deliver teletherapy to students ages 11-24 across California. We're hiring licensed California therapists (LCSW, LPCC, LMFT) who want a stable caseload, consistent referrals, and the chance to make a real impact on student wellbeing. Choose between W-2 (full benefits) or 1099 (flexible contract). 100% remote. You do not have to be based in California to be eligible for this position, but you must be a licensed California therapist. Associate therapists are not eligible for this position.  <h3>Key Benefits</h3> <ul> <li>Competitive Compensation: <ul> <li>W-2: $55,000–$115,000 annual (bi-weekly standardized payment)</li> <li>1099: $70–$85 per session (plus no-show & late-cancel pay)</li> </ul> </li> <li>Flexible Schedule: Set your hours Monday–Friday (3-8 PM) with optional weekends (9am-5pm)</li> <li>W2 Caseload Commitment: W-2 clinicians carry a caseload of 25 weekly slots (Monday-Friday 3pm-8pm PST), with a target of 17 completed sessions per week averaged across the month. Daybreak provides consistent referrals and scheduling assistance to help you reach this target consistently.</li> <li>Full Benefits (W-2): Medical, dental, vision, PTO, paid holidays, CEUs, supervisor support <ul> <li>Daybreak covers around 90% of medical premiums, and 100% of dental and vision premiums for W2 employees</li> <li>Daybreak covers around 65% of medical, dental, and vision premiums for all eligible dependents</li> <li>Choose between two comprehensive health plans: Kaiser and Anthem (Blue Cross Blue Shield)</li> </ul> </li> <li>Contract Perks (1099): Low weekly caseload minimum (5 sessions), CEUs, bilingual pay, cross-license bonuses in states we are active in</li> <li>Administrative support: We provide consistent referrals, billing, credentialing, and scheduling so you can focus on care. </li> <li>Fully Remote Role: Work from anywhere in the US with a reliable Internet connection</li> <li>Professional Development: CE credits, malpractice insurance, and ongoing training opportunities</li> <li>Supportive Clinical Community: Peer consultation, collaborative network, and team discussions</li> </ul> <h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>Licensed Professional with LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT credentials in the State of California</li> <li>Experience diagnosing, treatment planning, and working with youth and families in clinical or school settings</li> <li>Strong telehealth skills and reliable high-speed Internet connection</li> <li>Commitment to culturally responsive care and equity</li> </ul> <h3>Role & Responsibilities</h3> <ul> <li>Provide evidence-based individual teletherapy to students ages 11–24 with mild-to-moderate mental health conditions</li> <li>Build trusted relationships with youth and families</li> <li>Provide psychoeducation to parents/caregivers</li> </ul> Minimum caseload: Varies by employment type. W-2 full-time requires at least 25 time slots with a minimum of 17 completed sessions per week. 1099 contractors have a minimum of 5 sessions per week.
