Quality Assurance Automation Engineer -- REMOTE

Job Responsibility:

Role Description: Data Eaver is seeking a Quality Assurance Automation Developer at on behalf of Government client to design and implement test automation strategies to ensure service quality within an agile environment. This role focuses on iterative, continuous development, collaborating with cross-functional teams and users to evolve requirements and solutions.

Responsibilities

Work collaboratively in cross-functional teams applying agile methodologies to enhance service delivery.

Participate in project activities, including field work and user research, to understand requirements and user needs.

Lead the quality delivery aspect of solutions by working closely with agile teams and stakeholders.

Contribute to creating and prioritizing work backlogs, estimate effort, and commit to the scope of work for predictable feature delivery.

Identify quality-related tasks for backlog items, such as creating test cases, system testing, and performance testing.

Collaborate with product owners to design test plans and strategies, emphasizing automation to facilitate continuous delivery.

Develop automated tests and frameworks supporting integration, system, acceptance, and performance testing.

Collaborate with Full Stack Developers to maintain high-quality standards across agile teams using quality metrics and best practices.

Identify and investigate defects, determine root causes, and assist with defect triage and categorization.

Perform other responsibilities as required or requested.

Qualifications

Experience as a Quality Assurance Automation Developer in agile team environments, focusing on complex software solutions.

Proficiency in creating test cases and developing automated tests.

Experience planning test activities, creating test plans, and defining strategies for projects.

Familiarity with test frameworks, UI automation frameworks, and load testing frameworks.

Experience with open-source ecosystems such as Node.js/NPM.

Proficiency using source control systems, particularly git, in collaborative software development.

Experience working with CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery processes.

Ability to convey technical quality information to advise decision-makers on defect triage options.

Knowledge of various test methodologies and their application in different types of software testing.

Experience with API and UI testing methodologies.

Experience testing cloud-based solutions and utilizing cloud-based test services.

Experience working in teams applying UX design, service design, design thinking, or human-centered design approaches.
