Job Description
About the Role
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician – Electrical & Utilities to support operation and maintenance of plant utility systems and electrical infrastructure. This is a hands-on role where you will ensure reliable functioning of utilities and electrical systems through preventive and breakdown maintenance.
What You’ll Do
Maintenance & Equipment Reliability
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems and plant utilities
- Ensure high equipment uptime and reliable operation
- Identify faults and carry out basic troubleshooting and corrective actions
Utility Systems & Operations Support
- Support operation and maintenance of utilities such as air compressors, cooling towers, pumps, motors, DG sets, HVAC systems, and fire hydrant systems
- Monitor equipment performance and report abnormalities
Installation & Commissioning
- Support installation, wiring, and commissioning of electrical and utility equipment
- Execute on-ground work such as cable laying, panel connections, and equipment setup
Safety & Compliance
- Follow plant safety standards, SOPs, and statutory electrical regulations
- Use PPE and maintain safe working practices at all times
- Identify unsafe conditions and report immediately
Coordination & Shift Work
- Work closely with operations and maintenance teams
- Ensure uninterrupted utility support to plant operations
- Support shift-based maintenance activities
Documentation
- Maintain maintenance logs, inspection records, and reports
- Record breakdowns, actions taken, and observations
Minimum Qualifications:
- ITI / Diploma in Electrical
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance or utilities
- Basic understanding of industrial electrical systems and safety practices
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Experience in manufacturing or process industries
- Familiarity with utility systems (compressors, cooling towers, pumps, DG sets)
- Ability to read basic electrical drawings and schematics
- Basic exposure to PLC or control systems
- Strong safety awareness and discipline
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
