Part Time Dairy Farm Work

Overview

Join our team as a part time employee. This role is flexible based on experience. Can be all milking or can include feeding, scraping, and cattle care if desired. Ideal candidate would be available for evening weekend shifts - starting at 4:30 pm but weeknights or mornings can be included if desired.

Duties

• Milking herd of around 70 cows. You will not be alone- another person will be with you at every shift
• Milking includes bringing cows into barn, feeding grain, following milking protocols and taking cows to the barn.
• Can include if desired: calf care (feeding milk, grain and water), scraping, feeding TMR and pushing up feed regularly.
• If more hours are desired, can include heifer care at our neighboring facility- feeding watering, bedding, and providing hay to our young stock.

Requirements

• No prior milking or cattle experience is required- but preferred
• Must be dependable and willing to learn
• Must take direction well
• English speaking preferred but not required
