Here, you'll design new products and improve existing ones, taking ownership of your product area to help drive its vision.
In This Role, You Will:
- Understand user problems and how our products solve them
- Use the latest design tools, but also sketch out ideas on paper and whiteboards
- Empathize with our users to design an efficient and enjoyable end-to-end process
- Take the experience of our products to the next level through collaboration with user researchers, product managers, developers, and stakeholders
- Create a UX design brief with the goals and direction of each project
- Participate in, and learn to lead, design thinking workshops and brainstorming sessions
- Make design recommendations based on user research and product analytics
- Gather feedback and iterate on multiple designs as you work toward a final version
- Create information hierarchies, workflows, wireframes, hi-fidelity mockups, and prototypes
- Design intuitive, modern, accessible products
- Understand how Cvent's products fit together in a wholistic design ecosystem
- Annotate designs and work with engineers to implement designs as intended
- Be a storyteller as you present your work to team members, leadership, and stakeholders
Here's What You Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Computer Interaction, UX Design, Product Design, or a related field
- A passion for improving people's lives through design and technology
- Design experience with a focus on software applications
- An eye for good visual design and visual layout
- A portfolio that shows off your design skills and design thinking for each project
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and design techniques
- Not afraid to do your own research, get out there, and talk to users directly
- Experience with professional design and prototyping tools
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JS (bonus points for front-end coding experience)
- A designer who can work alone and with others, managing personal and project timelines
- Sharp critical thinking and problem-solving skills
