Location: Tysons, VA (Onsite)
Shift Possibility: 10 PM - 6:30 AM (tentatively Thursday - Mon) may change but will be on duty Sat & Sun
Position Status: Contract
Pay Rate: $28 - $33 per hour

Position Description:
We are seeking a motivated and safety-driven Electrical Maintenance Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of critical electrical and emergency power systems across a large commercial campus environment. This role is ideal for hands-on electrical professionals who want to expand their experience with UPS systems, data center equipment, and high-voltage electrical infrastructure while working as part of a collaborative technical team.
The successful candidate will assist senior technicians and team leads with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency response activities, ensuring uninterrupted power and reliable system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of emergency power systems, electrical distribution systems, UPS systems, and associated equipment
- Support troubleshooting and diagnostics of electrical malfunctions, system failures, and design modifications
- Work with single-phase and three-phase electrical systems, including 120V, 208V, 277V, 480V, and medium-voltage systems up to 12,470V
- Interpret and follow blueprints, schematics, engineering drawings, work orders, and manufacturer documentation
- Participate in preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal system performance
- Support electrical and mechanical systems tied to data center and critical infrastructure environments
- Serve as an escort for vendors and contractors when required
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
- Maintain a professional, team-oriented approach while performing additional duties as assigned
Required Skills / Education:
- 1+ year of hands-on experience in commercial electrical maintenance or repair
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Working knowledge of commercial electrical systems and safety practices
- Ability to read and interpret schedules, drawings, and technical documentation
- Willingness to complete technical training for UPS systems, data center equipment, and critical power infrastructure
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused mindset
