Job Description

We are looking for a Research & Development Chef with strong expertise in health-focused food concepts to lead the development of innovative, flavorful, and commercially viable menu offerings.

The ideal candidate should be able to create food that is healthy, satisfying, modern, and scalable, with a strong understanding of both nutrition-conscious cooking and consumer taste preferences. This role is suited for someone who can go beyond basic “diet food” and build dishes that people genuinely enjoy eating regularly.

The chef will work on concepts such as:

  • Healthy North Indian comfort food
  • Khichdis and one-bowl meals
  • High-protein food concepts
  • Low-carb / keto-friendly dishes
  • Salads, bowls, and light meals
  • Mediterranean cuisine
  • Plant-forward and vegetarian wellness meals

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead R&D for health-focused and better-for-you food concepts
  • Develop new dishes, meal formats, and menu ideas across multiple healthy cuisine categories
  • Create recipes that balance nutrition, taste, satiety, and operational feasibility
  • Standardize recipes with measurements, methods, yields, and portion sizes
  • Work on healthier ingredient substitutions, cooking methods, sauces, dips, and accompaniments
  • Conduct food trials and improve recipes based on sensory feedback and kitchen practicality
  • Ensure recipes are scalable and suitable for production and repeat execution
  • Collaborate with operations and leadership teams to convert concepts into launch-ready products
  • Support SOP creation for prep, batch production, storage, and final assembly

Ideal Candidate Should Have:

  • Experience as an R&D Chef, Product Development Chef, or Corporate Chef in health food, wellness food, cafés, cloud kitchens, or modern food brands
  • Strong understanding of healthy cuisine categories such as high-protein meals, salads, bowls, Mediterranean food, keto / low-carb concepts, and healthier Indian meal formats
  • Ability to create food that feels clean and functional, yet indulgent enough for repeat consumption
  • Good knowledge of ingredients, flavor building, portioning, and recipe standardization
  • Understanding of food costing, ingredient efficiency, and kitchen execution

We are looking for someone who can bring together health, taste, innovation, and practicalityto create a strong pipeline of modern wellness-led food concepts.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
