We’re Hiring | Registered Patent Agent (3–5 Years Experience)

We are looking for a Registered Patent Agent to join our team and play a key role in strengthening our IP and innovation ecosystem. This role involves working closely with startups, researchers, and academic stakeholders to support end-to-end IP creation, protection, and commercialization.

Key Responsibilities:

Patent Drafting & Filing

• Draft high-quality patent specifications and claims across diverse technology domains
• Handle end-to-end patent filing in India and support international filings (PCT)
• Work closely with inventors to convert ideas into strong, defensible patent applications

Patent Prosecution

• Manage patent prosecution, including responding to FERs and examination reports
• Handle claim amendments and represent/assist in hearings before the Patent Office
• Ensure timely compliance with statutory deadlines and procedures

Trademark Support

• Conduct trademark searches and support filing, examination responses, and prosecution
• Assist in building brand protection strategies for startups

IP Strategy & Advisory

• Identify patentable innovations through interaction with founders and researchers
• Conduct prior art searches, patentability assessments, and basic FTO analysis
• Support overall IP strategy (patents and trademarks) aligned with business and commercialization goals

Startup & Ecosystem Support

• Guide startups on DPIIT recognition and IP-related government schemes
• Support documentation for reimbursements, grants, and compliance requirements
• Work with multiple stakeholders including startups, students, faculty, and research teams

Portfolio Management

• Maintain and track IP portfolios, including filings, grants, renewals, and timelines
• Ensure proper documentation and monitoring of all IP-related activities

Training & Awareness

• Conduct IPR workshops, awareness sessions, and training programs
• Promote an IP-driven culture within the innovation ecosystem

Qualifications & Experience:

• Registered Patent Agent (India)
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in patent drafting, filing, and prosecution
• Technical qualification (B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech or equivalent in Engineering/Science)
• Exposure to trademark filing and prosecution
• Strong expertise in claim drafting and patent documentation
• Good understanding of Indian Patent Law and procedures
• Ability to work across multiple technology domains and stakeholders
• Strong communication, coordination, and analytical skills
