It also plays a key role in strengthening how data is used across the organization by leading reporting and dashboard development, including ownership of the organization’s KPI dashboard.

The role works closely with teams to understand operational needs, improve workflows, and translate those needs into practical system solutions and clear reporting. It also supports training and adoption to ensure staff are using Salesforce consistently and effectively.

Success in this role depends on strong technical capability, sound judgment, and the ability to connect system design with real operational needs. This role suits someone who enjoys both system administration and business thinking, takes ownership of their work, and is motivated by improving how teams use data and technology.

  • Hours: 9:00am to 5:00pm (PT) - includes a 1-hour unpaid lunch break
  • Work Model: Hybrid, two (2) days in-office each week (upon completion of in-person training period)

The Work

  • Administer and maintain Salesforce configuration, including objects, fields, page layouts, validation rules, workflows, and automation tools.
  • Manage Salesforce Experience Site portals, including external user access, permissions, and site updates.
  • Administer and support Salesforce integrations and installed applications (ex. Formstack, Conga, Twilio), ensuring reliable functionality, data flow, and alignment with business needs across systems.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of reports and dashboards, including ownership of the organization’s KPI dashboard, to support operational insight and decision-making.
  • Work with internal teams to understand reporting and operational needs, and translate them into clear, effective dashboards, reports, and data outputs.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across Salesforce to support accurate reporting and analysis.
  • Support the extraction, delivery, and ongoing improvement of key datasets (ex. industry contact lists, funding recipient data), including identifying opportunities to automate processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, reporting structures, system configuration, and automation to better support organizational processes.
  • Provide training, guidance, and documentation to support consistent and effective use of Salesforce and related systems across teams.
  • Maintain clear documentation of system configuration, workflows, integrations, and administrative processes to support continuity and knowledge sharing.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with external IT partners or vendors where required.
  • Monitor system usage, performance, and user feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and support the ongoing evolution of Salesforce and related tools.
  • Support broader systems administration and collaborate with internal and external partners to maintain system stability, access, and security.

Experience + Fit

This role may be a strong fit if you:

  • Hold a Salesforce Administrator Certification and have hands-on experience administering Salesforce in an organizational setting.
  • Have experience configuring Salesforce (ex. objects, fields, workflows, permissions) and supporting overall system administration and governance.
  • Have strong experience building and maintaining reports and dashboards that support operational insight and decision-making.
  • Have experience working with Salesforce integrations and installed applications (ex. Formstack, Conga, Twilio, or similar tools), including understanding data flow between systems.
  • Are comfortable working with Salesforce Experience Sites or similar portal technologies, including managing user access and permissions.
  • Can translate business needs into practical system solutions, reporting structures, and data outputs.

  • Are confident training and supporting users with varying levels of technical experience, and can explain systems clearly and effectively.
  • Are organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining system reliability and responsiveness.
