Real Estate Portfolio Manager

The Opportunity
Corus is seeking to add a Real Estate Portfolio Manager to its exceptional and growing team in a newly created role driven by our large and expanding network. At Corus, you will be part of a dynamic organization and have the opportunity to make significant contributions in support of our continued growth, partnering with senior leaders across the business to support practice development and operational excellence.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and working closely with Operations leadership, this role will lead the management of our real estate portfolio and facilities operations across approximately 80 locations. The Real Estate & Facilities Manager will oversee lease strategy, site development, renovations, relocations, and facilities performance while supporting new practice acquisitions and de novo growth.
As Corus continues to expand, this role offers significant scope to shape and scale our real estate and facilities strategy—building systems and processes that support a growing network of practices while preserving the autonomy, brand identity, and clinical priorities of our doctor partners.
This is a permanent, full-time role with flexibility to work in a hybrid capacity from our Toronto office, with travel across Canada and the United States as required.

What You Will Love Doing
In this role, you will lead the management of Corus’ growing real estate portfolio and facilities operations. Working closely with Operations leadership and our doctor partners, you will support practice growth, oversee clinic development projects, and ensure our facilities enable exceptional patient care and team experience.
Real Estate Strategy & Growth Enablement
- Develop and execute Corus’ real estate strategy to support continued network expansion
- Lead lease negotiations, renewals, expansions, and landlord relationships across multiple jurisdictions
- Maintain lease abstraction systems and manage critical lease dates and obligations
- Benchmark occupancy costs and negotiate competitive lease terms that support strong financial performance
- Support acquisition due diligence, including lease reviews and facility condition assessments
- Identify and evaluate new clinic locations through market analysis, site selection, and due diligence
- Partner with Operations leaders and doctor partners to assess market opportunities and expansion timing
Multi-Site Facilities Operations
- Oversee facilities operations across a growing network of orthodontic practices, ensuring reliable and high-performing clinical environments
- Manage infrastructure critical to practice operations, including HVAC, air and vacuum systems, sterilization areas, electrical and plumbing infrastructure, and fire and life safety systems
- Coordinate vendors and service providers to ensure timely maintenance, repairs, and operational continuity
- Respond to urgent facility issues and operational disruptions as needed
- Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, and regulatory requirements
- Liaise with property and liability insurance providers and oversee facilities-related insurance policies
Construction Planning & Project Management
- Lead renovation, expansion, relocation, and new clinic development projects from concept through completion in partnership with doctor partners
- Manage architects, designers, contractors, and equipment vendors throughout the project lifecycle
- Establish and maintain clinic design and construction standards, including layouts, workflows, infrastructure requirements, and finish specifications
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, and permitting processes
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within approved capital budgets
Financial Stewardship & Capital Planning
- Develop and manage annual facilities operating and capital budgets
- Support multi-year capital forecasting aligned with Corus’ growth trajectory
- Monitor CAM charges, utilities, and lease escalations across the real estate portfolio
- Provide leadership reporting on portfolio performance, project progress, and capital deployment
Doctor Partnership & Practice Integration
- Serve as a trusted advisor to doctor partners on real estate, facilities, and clinic development decisions
- Balance operational consistency with the unique identity and autonomy of each practice
- Support the onboarding and integration of newly affiliated practices
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders regarding project timelines, budgets, and return on investment expectations

You are a strategic and solutions-oriented real estate and facilities professional who thrives in a fast-growing, collaborative environment. You bring the ability to think big while executing with precision—balancing financial discipline, operational excellence, and strong partnerships with stakeholders across the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Engineering, Facilities Management, Business, or a related field
- Professional designation in real estate or facilities management such as CFM, FMP, or similar considered an asset
- 7–10+ years of experience in real estate, facilities management, or construction oversight, ideally within healthcare, dental, or other multi-site service environments
- Proven experience managing complex multi-location portfolios (30+ sites preferred)
- Strong experience in lease negotiations, landlord relationships, and real estate portfolio management
- Experience overseeing healthcare or clinical construction, renovations, and facility build-outs
- Comfortable operating in high-growth or acquisitive environments supporting practice expansion and integration
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, evaluate ROI, and steward capital investments
- Strategic thinker who is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves to drive execution
- Exceptional relationship-building and influencing skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with physician partners
- Experience working across U.S. and Canadian markets considered an asset
- Comfortable operating in a scaling, entrepreneurial organization where priorities evolve with growth
- Willingness and ability to travel across North America (approximately 15–20%)
