CARPENTER ASSISTANT WANTED — ROUGH FRAMING & RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION

Core Outdoor Living is the top-rated design/build firm for decks, porches, and patios in Northern Virginia. With a 6-month backlog of confirmed projects, we are growing fast and looking to hire an additional crew member to train up in rough framing and residential construction.

This is an entry-level construction position, but some prior hands-on experience in construction, framing, or remodeling is required. We’re looking for candidates who are already familiar with working on active jobsites and using basic tools.

Position Details

• Full-time hourly position
• Competitive pay based on experience
• Overtime available (paid at time-and-a-half)

Requirements & Responsibilities

• At least some hands-on experience in construction, framing, or residential remodeling required
• Familiarity with basic carpentry or framing tasks
• Comfortable using power and hand tools safely
• Ability to measure, cut, and assemble materials (wood, PVC, composite, etc.)
• Willingness to learn building codes and jobsite safety practices
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable daily transportation

Nice to Have

• Experience in deck and porch framing
• Ability to read blueprints or construction plans
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) – a plus, not required
• Works well on a team under a crew chief or site lead
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail

Tools & Equipment

• All major tools provided
• Only basic personal hand tools needed
• No work truck or van required

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
