Job Description
A growing national trade association located in Washington, DC is seeking a polished, proactive Administrative Assistant to support its President & CEO and leadership team. This position will begin at approximately 10 hours per week and offers a flexible, primarily remote schedule with occasional in-office work in Washington, DC. Position Overview
The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the President & CEO while also assisting other members of the leadership team with scheduling, meeting preparation, board support, travel coordination, expense reporting, and special projects. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, polished in their communication, and comfortable interacting with senior executives, board members, and industry leaders.
Responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant include:
- Manage and coordinate calendars for the President & CEO
- Schedule meetings and assist with meeting logistics
- Prepare executive meeting materials and briefing documents
- Assist with board meeting preparation and coordination
- Create and update PowerPoint presentations and slide decks
- Coordinate travel arrangements and itineraries
- Process expense reports and administrative documentation
- Help prioritize tasks and ensure executive preparedness for meetings and events
- Draft and proofread correspondence and other business communications
- Support special projects and administrative initiatives across the organization
- Provide general administrative support to the leadership team as needed
Requirements of the Administrative Assistant:
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 1 year of professional administrative support experience
- Experience managing calendars and scheduling meetings
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Professional demeanor and ability to interact with senior-level stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a dynamic environment
Schedule & Location
- Approximately 10 hours per week to start
- Flexible schedule
- Primarily remote
- Ability to work in the Washington, DC office periodically (approximately one day per week or as needed)

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
