Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Developer to join our client as soon as possible. This is a long-term that will begin in six-month increments. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to support data-driven decision-making across an enterprise organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data visualization, database management, and cloud-based platforms, enabling us to harness the full potential of our data assets. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to strategic initiatives by transforming complex data sets into clear, actionable insights.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports that effectively communicate key metrics and trends.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Integrate various data sources, including cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Snowflake), SQL databases, and CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Work with big data technologies such as Apache Hive, Spark, and Hadoop to manage large-scale datasets.
- Perform database design and modeling to support scalable data warehouses and analytics solutions.
- Conduct analysis on linked data sources and apply model training techniques for predictive insights.
- Utilize analysis skills to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities within complex datasets.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role with a strong portfolio of dashboards and reports.
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure Data Lake for scalable data storage solutions.
- Proficiency in SQL programming
- Strong knowledge of excel for creating reports.
- Hands-on experience with big data tools including Hadoop, Apache Hive, Spark, and related technologies.
- Familiarity with ETL tools such as Talend or Informatica; scripting skills in Python or Bash are advantageous.
- Strong analysis skills combined with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Columbia, MD 21046
