Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Solution Engineer with strong Microsoft Azure expertise to support the design, enhancement, and modernization of an enterprise application hosted on Azure. The application processes large datasets such as usage and billing data and integrates with enterprise data platforms.

The Solution Engineer will play a critical role in analyzing the current architecture, identifying improvement opportunities, and leading solution design initiatives to improve scalability, flexibility, performance, and long-term maintainability of the platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and document existing application architecture, data models, APIs, and integrations.
• Develop logical and physical architecture diagrams to represent system components and data flow.
• Design scalable, secure, and high-performance Azure-based solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
• Define and document REST API interfaces and data exchange patterns.
• Support the redesign and enhancement of backend data models, data pipelines, and aggregation logic.
• Evaluate reuse vs modernization of current components and propose optimal architectural approaches.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineering, security, infrastructure, and application support teams.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solution designs.
• Produce detailed technical documentation, architecture artifacts, and solution specifications.
• Contribute to technology roadmap planning and phased implementation strategies.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance during development, testing, and deployment phases.
• Troubleshoot integration issues, performance bottlenecks, and data-related challenges.
• Support knowledge transfer, documentation, and system architecture governance.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience supporting solution architecture, system design, and technical delivery in enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure platform services.
• Experience developing applications using .NET / C#.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and system integrations.
• Experience working with large enterprise datasets and analytics-driven applications.
• Ability to design, modify, and optimize data models to meet evolving business needs.
• Experience creating technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and design artifacts.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience modernizing legacy applications into cloud-native architectures.
• Experience integrating applications with enterprise data platforms or data lakes.
• Experience supporting both internal enterprise systems and customer-facing applications.
• Experience working within large enterprise or regulated industry environments.
