Job Description

About the Role

The Corporate Workspace Technology team is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support the modernization of its tooling enablement function. This is a high-impact role focused on designing, modeling, developing, and managing enterprise-grade data warehouse solutions within a Snowflake ecosystem.

You will play a critical role in migrating legacy relational data environments to cloud-based Snowflake architecture, building scalable ETL pipelines, and driving data governance best practices. This role requires strong technical expertise combined with strategic thinking and collaborative execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable data solutions within the Snowflake environment.
  • Lead migration of existing relational data domains and workflows to Snowflake cloud data store.
  • Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Talend and Informatica.
  • Build efficient SQL queries and Python scripts for large dataset processing and automation.
  • Design and implement data ingestion pipelines following industry best practices.
  • Develop data distribution layers leveraging Snowflake REST APIs.
  • Implement and enforce data integrity, governance, and quality controls.
  • Support development of data models and schema design across relational and cloud platforms.
  • Optimize Snowflake environments for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Contribute to proof-of-concepts, documentation, and data governance standards.
  • Participate in peer code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT and business stakeholders across regions.
  • (Nice to Have) Develop semantic models in Snowflake and integrate with Power BI.
  • (Plus) Partner with data scientists to integrate machine learning models into Snowflake.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, MIS, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 7–10 years of hands-on experience in data engineering and data modeling.
  • Strong experience with Snowflake Data Warehouse (data objects, modeling, performance optimization).
  • Proven expertise in Informatica ETL and Talend ETL.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake REST API integration.
  • Advanced SQL query development skills.
  • Strong Python scripting experience for automation and large-scale data processing.
  • Experience working with relational databases such as DB2.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems and data transformation concepts.
  • Solid knowledge of schema design and data modeling in both relational and cloud environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across IT and business teams globally.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Power BI or Tableau
  • Exposure to data science integration workflows
  • Experience building semantic models within Snowflake
