Job Description
Become a Gentle Exercise Instructor with Community Support Connections, leading safe and engaging classes for older adults in Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge. Foster independence and dignity through gentle fitness activities, both virtually and in-person.
In this casual role, you will work closely with the Fall Prevention and Exercise Team to deliver tailored exercise sessions for older adults and individuals with different abilities. Collaborating with host locations, you'll ensure participants enjoy a social, recreational, and safe experience designed to prevent falls and promote overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and lead gentle exercise classes group and 1:1
- Monitor and adapt exercises based on participant needs
- Provide backup coverage for open classes as needed
- Distribute promotions for community senior fitness
- Ensure health and safety of all participants
Requirements
- Valid G Driver's License with vehicle access
- Current Emergency First Aid/CPR A Certificate
- Satisfactory police records check for vulnerable sector
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Experience in group fitness preferred
