Starting Salary: $66,025/year
We are currently recruiting for a term Systems Administrator (12-month term) to work on-site at our headquarters in Ottawa, Ontario. This is a newly created position.
What you will be doing…
As a Systems Administrator, first and second-level technical support to end-users while ensuring that incidents and service requests are prioritized, tracked, and resolved within established service level agreements (SLAs). You will play a key role in maintaining system stability, improving service delivery processes, and supporting a secure, modern IT environment.

Some of your responsibilities include…
- Act as the first point of contact for IT incidents and service requests
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to hardware, software, Microsoft 365, and network connectivity
- Ensure all tickets are logged, prioritized, and resolved within SLA timelines
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate support tiers while maintaining ownership
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft Intune for endpoint management and security enforcement
- Monitor system performance, alerts, and outages; identify trends and potential vulnerabilities
- Generate and contribute to reporting on ticket trends, resolution times, and recurring issues
- Provide clear, professional communication to end-users throughout the support process
- Contribute to and maintain knowledge base documentation and troubleshooting guides
- Identify recurring issues and recommend process or system improvements
- Support onboarding and training of new IT team members

You’re a good fit if…
- You have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across IT systems and environments
- You are highly proficient with Microsoft Intune (device management, policy enforcement, compliance)
- You have hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Windows 11, and Azure Active Directory
- You are comfortable working within an ITSM/ticketing system in an SLA-driven environment
- You understand networking fundamentals (IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, connectivity troubleshooting)
- You are customer-focused and can clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical users
- You are organized, can prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment
- You have hands-on experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive), including troubleshooting email configuration, synchronization issues, and collaboration tools
- You take initiative to identify trends, improve processes, and prevent recurring issues
Your must-haves:
- Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- ITIL Foundations certification
- Strong hands-on experience with endpoint management tools such as Microsoft Intune in an enterprise environment
- Experience supporting modern endpoint security practices (e.g., MFA, device compliance, secure access)
- You demonstrate a strong customer service mindset, including empathy, patience, and the ability to build positive relationships with end-users
- Bilingual in both English and French is highly desirable and preferred
- Must be eligible for and able to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada Secret security clearance
