Pre-IPO.</p></div><p><strong>The Role:</strong></p> <p>We’re looking for a <strong>Software Engineer - Founder’s Office </strong>to join our Mountain View HQ team, working directly with our Founders. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work alongside talented senior engineers, product managers, and data scientists to design, build, and deliver AI-powered commerce solutions.</p> <h3><strong>Why this role matters</strong></h3> <ul> <li><strong>Career growth</strong>: Gain experience with AI development in a real-world production environment</li> <li><strong>High-impact work</strong>: Contribute to new AI-driven products that directly affect global brands</li> <li><strong>Learning from the best</strong>: Work alongside experienced engineers and collaborate with a global, high-performing team</li> </ul> <p><em>This is an onsite role with expectations that you are working from the office Monday-Friday</em></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>What You'll Do:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Collaborate across functions</strong>: Build on a variety of use cases across the company</li> <li><strong>Partner with executives: </strong>Get a full perspective from the Founders and CEO’s desk</li> <li><strong>Grow technical skills</strong>: Participate in design reviews, write high-quality code, and gain experience with best practices in testing, security, and scalability</li> <li><strong>Deliver impactful work: </strong>Ship features that are quickly adopted by customers and directly improve their ecommerce performance</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>What You'll Bring:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>2-5 years</strong> of hands-on software engineering experience (internships and co-op work will be considered)</li> <li>A Bachelor's degree in <strong>Computer Science</strong> from a highly ranked university is a must have</li> <li>Proficiency in <strong>Java</strong> or <strong>Python</strong></li> <li>Experience working with AI tools such as Claude</li> <li>Some experience building backend or full-stack applications, either in professional settings or personal projects (we especially love to see any contributions that you have on Github or Stackoverflow)</li> <li>Familiarity with cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure), microservices, and modern development practices like CI/CD is helpful</li> <li>Strong problem-solving skills, eagerness to learn, and comfort working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Compensation and Benefits:&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>The typical base pay range for this role across the US is USD: $147,000 - $166,000/per year. Additionally, compensation for this role includes an equity package provided as high potential pre-IPO stock options.&nbsp;</p> <p>This base pay range may be inclusive of several career levels at CommerceIQ and will be narrowed based on a number of factors including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at CommerceIQ.
