Join Comco’s Horizon branch as a Counter Sales Representative and become the key point of contact for customers ordering and picking up their orders at the CNRL Oil Sands site.

This position will work a rotating shift of 7 days on 7 days off (averaging arrangement applies), shift 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Night shift could occur during a turnover . Flights will be provided to site from two central locations, Edmonton and Calgary. Camp accommodations are provided.

What You’ll Do:

• Greet and assist walk-in customers in a professional and friendly manner
• Verify and process customer orders for accuracy and timely pickup
• Respond to customer inquiries in person, over the phone, and via email
• Provide product knowledge and support to ensure customer satisfaction
• Accurately pick, pack, and stage customer orders in a timely and efficient manner
• Operate a forklift to move and load product
• Safely operate a company truck to pick up inventory and deliver orders to customers on-site
• Perform inventory checks, monitor stock levels, and support counts and stock adjustments
• Assist with returns, exchanges, and resolving product-related issues
• Verify and scan MTRs (Mill Test Reports) and ensure proper documentation is attached to orders
• Maintain order accuracy by recording heat numbers and applying correct labeling and packaging
• Participate in general housekeeping and keep the counter and warehouse area clean, organized, and safe
• Support on-call requirements and occasional overtime as needed
• Follow all Comco, CNRL, and site-specific safety protocols and procedures

What You’ll Bring:

• 1–2 years of inside sales or customer service experience, ideally in a wholesale or industrial distribution setting
• 3–5 years of related warehouse or manufacturing experience
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract and ability to operate a company truck on-site
• Forklift experience is an asset
• Must be physically fit, capable of carrying and moving product and/or supplies of 50lbs
• Knowledge of safe lifting and handling techniques
• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer use
• Knowledge of carbon steel or industrial products is an asset
• Using adequate and suitable safety equipment, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Valid Common Safety Orientation (CSO) and Horizon Site Orientation certificates are assets, but not required – we will assist successful candidates in obtaining these certifications after hire
• Must be eligible for site access at CNRL Horizon (i.e., not currently banned or restricted from the site)
• Legally entitled to work in Canada

Note: Candidates must successfully complete pre-access testing, including breath alcohol test and urine drug test (including cannabis), audiometric testing, vision screening, and medical health assessment.
