D365 Finance Functional Consultant

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant to support the implementation and optimization of core financial modules in Dynamics 365 Finance.

This role is best suited for someone who is comfortable working in structured environments, can engage directly with stakeholders, and brings a strong understanding of finance operations alongside system configuration.

Required Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance (or AX 2012 with D365 experience)
• Strong hands‑on experience with: General Ledger, Budgeting, Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets
• Experience supporting financial system implementations end‑to‑end
• Ability to lead client‑facing workshops and communicate clearly with both business and technical teams
• Familiarity with U.S. public sector or regulated environments is a strong plus
• Experience with Excel‑based data validation and reporting

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
• Master’s degree (MBA, MIS, or related discipline) is a plus
• Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate (MB-310)
• Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Apps Solution Architect Expert (MB-700) (preferred for senior candidates)
• Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals (PL-900) (nice to have)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Accounting & Grants in D365 Finance
• Exposure to GCC High or Azure Government environments
• Understanding of role‑based security and segregation of duties (SoD)
• Prior experience working on federal or government projects
