Job Description
College Park Tutors provides expert, one-on-one tutoring for University of Maryland students. We’re looking for talented undergraduates, graduate students, and college graduates who are able to tutor any of the following courses taught at University of Maryland College Park:
- Calculus and advanced math
- Physics
- Engineering courses
- Statistics
- Computer science
- Business and accounting
- Chemistry
- Biology
Required experience:
One semester or more of teaching, tutoring, or helping others learn in a formal or informal setting. Priority will be given to candidates who have taken, taught or tutored these courses specifically at UMD and to candidates with formal job experience or educational on-campus roles.
Required skills
- Excellent technical knowledge of subject matter.
- Outstanding desk-side manner.
- Must reside near or in College Park, Maryland and be available for at least one year.
You set your own hours, location, and schedule. Sessions will be conducted in-person or virtually, depending on your availability and individual students' needs.
