One of the key aspects of my job as a Warehouse Manager would be to ensure that inventory records are accurate and up to date to avoid stock shortages or overstocking, which can harm the business

Within the Operations and Sales Center Team, the Warehouse Manager plays a vital role in running the Warehouse, Equipment Service, and Fleet divisions. This involves making key personnel decisions on issues such as hiring, compensation, promotions, discipline and termination of team members according to Company policies. Besides, the Warehouse Manager manages inventory and uses statistical analysis to pinpoint areas for optimization.

The employee must possess necessary communication skills to convey information to other team members, superiors, and external stakeholders of the organization

  • Management relies on a steady stream of daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports to make informed decisions.
  • By accurately forecasting demand, you can order the right amount of stock, reducing the likelihood of excess inventory or stockouts.
  • Examine statistical data and reports with the aim of identifying opportunities for ongoing enhancement.
  • Develop and implement effective budget control strategies, including regular monitoring of expenses and regular reporting on the department's financial performance.
  • Be responsible for overseeing the adequate rotation of products within the facility.

  • Collaboratively operate with the administrative department situated in the Black Hills.
  • Work in sync with other managers in the sales center to ensure efficient, effective, and financially successful functioning of the center.
  • In charge of overseeing the welfare of the employees under supervision, safeguarding the valuable assets and machinery of the sales center, and preventing any major impediments to the effective functioning of the overall business processes.
  • Keep abreast of new information and technological advancements affecting your area of responsibility to drive innovation and maintain compliance.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • The successful applicant must have had a supervisory role for at least two to three years.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, which comprises Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Physical Demands:

  • Required to sit for prolonged periods of time while carrying out office work and potentially using a computer for an extended amount of time.
  • Effectively carrying out duties entails engaging in body movement activities like walking, communicating audibly, and handling and manipulating objects skillfully with the hands.
  • The position necessitates the capacity to repetitively engage in strenuous activities such as lifting, dragging, and pushing objects weighing 50 pounds or more, in addition to being able to extend your arms over your head, maintain a standing posture for long periods, and move around.
  • The position demands the capacity to uphold a standing position for extended durations.

The use of PPE is not only limited to employees but also includes volunteers and visitors, who may be at risk in certain areas. As such, it is essential to provide adequate PPE training and ensure compliance with the set standards

  • Forklift operators must wear hard hats to protect themselves from head injuries.

Work Environment

  • The noise generated by manufacturing and warehousing equipment is a significant contributing factor to the moderate noise level in the work environment.
