<p><br>Job duties:<br>- Analyze internal and external data—including credit bureau, financial, transactional, and application data<br>—to support and refine credit risk policies for underwriting, credit line adjustments, and account-level<br>decisioning.<br>- Help create best-in-class credit policies and risk management infrastructure.<br>- Design and manage data reporting frameworks related to credit risk and fraud by partnering with data<br>engineers and analytics teams.<br>- Contribute to the automation and optimization of credit risk operations by building decision frameworks<br>and supporting risk modeling.<br>- Conduct data-driven investigations into potential fraud incidents such as identity theft or account<br>takeovers.<br>- Perform root cause analysis to improve predictive capabilities for credit defaults and risk exposures.<br>- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, finance, legal, operations, sales, and marketing to develop<br>and implement credit-related strategies and policies.<br>- May telecommute within a reasonable commuting distance from the New York office.</p>
<p>Education and Experience required: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Applied<br>Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Actuarial Science,<br>Information Systems, or Management Science and 2 years in credit risk analysis or related occupation<br>within consumer or small and medium enterprise (SME) lending.</p>
<p>Background: 2 years of experience in the following:<br>1. Deploying a SQL and Python;<br>2. MS office applications;<br>3. Root cause and statistical analysis related to credit defaults and risk exposures;<br>4. Building and maintaining data pipelines, utilizing SQL and Python, that includes data cleansing,<br>wrangling, visualization, modeling, and interpretation related to credit risk and fraud;<br>5. dbt for data modeling and transformation related to credit risk and fraud;<br>6. Working with APIs;<br>7. Designing and managing data reporting frameworks related to credit risk and fraud;<br>8. Create underwriting and risk management strategies;<br>9. Investigating and evaluating efficiency of risk management policies, procedures, and processes; and<br>10. Partner with cross-functional teams to execute credit policies, improve operational tooling, and shape<br>the risk management infrastructure.</p>
<p>Location: New York, NY (May telecommute within a reasonable commuting distance from the New York<br>office)</p>
<p>Rate of pay: $90,000 to $140,000 per year</p>
