We work across multi-functional teams to present policy solutions, carry the Cloudflare narrative, and promote our brand externally.</p> <p>The APJC (Asia-Pacific, Japan &amp; China) team helps the company anticipate regulatory challenges, advocates for Cloudflare on priority issues, and builds relationships with external partners. In a region with fragmented regulatory regimes, we address fast-moving issues across cybersecurity, AI governance, data privacy, and connectivity.</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>Based in Singapore or Bengaluru, you will support the APJC Public Policy team across three core pillars:</p> <p>1. Policy Analysis &amp; Research</p> <ul> <li>Regulatory Tracking: Monitor and evaluate legislative developments across APJC</li> <li>Intelligence Mapping: Maintain internal knowledge databases and draft stakeholder maps covering government ministries, regional regulators, and industry bodies.</li> <li>Content Development: Assist in drafting talking points, policy narratives, position papers, and consultation responses for regional government stakeholders.</li> </ul> <p>2. Policy Campaigns &amp; Programmatic Work</p> <ul> <li>AI Advocacy: Support the execution of AI-focused policy programs and campaigns, identifying partnership opportunities with governments and civil society.</li> <li>Regional Engagement: Help coordinate Cloudflare’s participation in regional forums and multi-stakeholder organizations.</li> <li>External Representation: Help prepare materials for external events, meetings, and thought leadership pieces (e.g., company blog posts) to amplify Cloudflare’s regional voice.</li> </ul> <p>3. Internal Operations &amp; AI Innovation</p> <ul> <li>AI Tooling &amp; Automation: Actively build and deploy AI-driven tools to streamline policy tracking, research, and internal reporting workflows.</li> <li>Cross-Functional Support: Provide real-time updates to Legal, Trust &amp; Safety, and Sales teams, ensuring policy insights are translated into actionable business intelligence.</li> <li>Commercial Enablement: Compile localized materials to help sales and marketing teams respond to policy-related inquiries from regional customers.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What We Are Looking For</strong></p> <p>We are seeking an active, self-starting individual with a strong academic background and a deep curiosity for the intersection of technology and society.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Current Student: Enrolled in a degree program in Law, Economics, Political Science, Public Policy, or a related social science field.</li> <li>AI Proficiency: Must be highly comfortable with AI tools and demonstrate the ability to actively build with AI (e.g., using LLMs for automation, data analysis, or workflow optimization).</li> <li>Available for a full-time 20-week internship, working from our Singapore or Bengaluru office 3-5 days a week from July - December.</li> </ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Prior internship experience within a technology company, trade association, or government agency working on digital policy.</li> <li>Familiarity with the specific regulatory landscapes of key APJC markets (e.g., India, Japan, Australia, or SE Asia).</li> <li>Proficiency in a second regional language (e.g., Japanese, Korean or Bahasa) is a significant plus to understand and deal with policy in ASEAN countries</li> </ul> <p>You can check out our <a href="https://blog.cloudflare.com/tag/internship-experience/">internship blogs</a> to learn more about our program and hear directly from our past interns.</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>What Makes Cloudflare Special?</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">We’re not just a highly ambitious, large-scale technology company.
