Data Quality Assurance Engineer

Role Overview : We are looking for a detail-oriented Data QA Engineer with strong experience in ETL testing, Snowflake data validation, and dashboard verification. The ideal candidate should have strong SQL expertise, hands-on experience validating data across multiple ETL layers, and an automation-focused approach for reconciliation and regression testing.Key Responsibilities : - Perform end-to-end testing of ETL pipelines and data workflows.- Validate data across ETL layers (Source , Staging , Curated , Reporting).- Execute complex SQL queries for data validation and reconciliation.- Validate Snowflake tables, views, transformations, and stored procedures.- Perform dashboard validation and reporting verification by comparing Tableau dashboards with Snowflake data.- Conduct data reconciliation checks to ensure accuracy and completeness.- Implement and maintain automated data validation frameworks.- Perform regression testing for data releases and schema changes.- Identify data quality issues and collaborate with Data Engineers to resolve defects.- Develop test cases, validation scripts, and detailed test documentation.Mandatory Skills : - Strong experience in ETL Testing and Data Validation- Advanced SQL expertise (joins, aggregations, window functions, complex queries)- Experience validating data across multiple ETL layers- Hands-on experience with Snowflake data warehouse validation- Experience testing Tableau dashboards and reports- Strong understanding of data reconciliation techniques- Experience performing regression testing for data pipelines- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Domain Experience- Experience in BFSI / Financial domain (preferred)Preferred Skills : - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)- Experience with data testing tools or automation frameworks- Exposure to dbt testing frameworks- Experience working in modern data warehouse environments (ref: hirist.tech)
