Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Kubernetes Administrator located in Alexandria, VA. The Kubernetes Administrator will be responsible for maintaining and managing Kubernetes clusters, ensuring optimal performance and security. Daily tasks include deploying, scaling, and troubleshooting containerized applications, monitoring system health, configuring systems, and collaborating with development and DevOps teams to implement automated workflows and CI/CD pipelines. Additional responsibilities include ensuring compliance with system policies and improving deployment processes for reliability and scalability.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Kubernetes cluster setup, monitoring, and management
- Experience with container technologies like Docker
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools, automation workflows, and DevOps practices
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems and system administration
- Skills in configuring and troubleshooting networking in cloud and on-premise environments
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration abilities
- Relevant certifications such as CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
