Role and Responsibilities of Data Platform Engineering:

We are looking for a Data Platform Engineer who will help make our next decade just as revolutionary as our past. You will be responsible for building data engineering solutions and processes to enable analytics, business intelligence, and Master Data Management (MDM).

• Enable data engineering by building and maintaining scalable data pipelines in DBT and Azure Data Factory.
• Take ownership of maintaining select non-production environments.
• Collaborate with platform analysts and engineers to design solutions aligned with team standards.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for Azure, Databricks, and Snowflake.
• Apply team standards for security, governance, observability, cost, and performance.
• Help maintain our MDM platform.
• Manage code in Azure DevOps and coordinate changes across teams.
• Participate in design/architecture discussions and code reviews.
• Add data quality checks and help triage pipeline issues.
• Document processes, datasets (catalog), lineage, and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) handling.
• Support the development of the internal data integration framework.
• Work with system owners to resolve source data issues.
• Partner with enterprise teams, data science, and architects to define requirements and solutions.

Required Skills and Experience of Data Platform Engineering:

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations.
• Ability to troubleshoot data integrations for performance and accuracy.
• Strong working knowledge of MSSQL and SSIS is preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while paying close attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage financial information in a confidential and professional manner.
• Highly motivated and flexible.

Compensation and Benefits of Data Platform Engineering:

• Pay rate is $30 per hour, depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
• Compensation offered is also subject to local wage and hour laws.
