Job Description
Do you want great clinical experience while directly impacting the lives of children and families?
Family Based Services is for you! Child and Family Focus has a full-time Masters Level Therapist position available that gives clinicians autonomy and flexibility in a clinically rich environment, with the support of experienced leaders!
Family Based Services assign a team of one Master Level Clinician and one Bachelor Level Case Manager to work closely with clients in the home, school and community to address the child’s emotional struggles as well as the larger systemic issues contributing to troublesome behavior. The flexibility of meeting young people and families within the home and the community allows therapists to address the root of the struggles and create long-term positive change.
Responsibilities
- Work in two-person clinical teams to deliver quality family therapy and resource coordination.
- Use creative ways to engage young people and their family members to address complex family-systems issues
- Maintain a caseload of 6 to 8 young people (ages 4-18) and their family members
- Attend training in Eco-Systemic Family Therapy.
- Attend weekly supervision with licensure supervision hours provided at no cost.
- Meet with clients and their families at least twice a week to provide individual, and family therapy with sibling and couples/parent treatment provided as needed.
- Make referrals for appropriate supportive services.
- Maintain client files including timely completion of case notes and treatment plans to ensure that the licensing and Child & Family Focus, Inc.’s standards are upheld at all times.
- Provide paid emergency on-call duties as scheduled in rotation with other team members.
- Use and implement the 5 core values of Trauma-Informed Care in all work practices - Safety, Trustworthiness, Choice, Collaboration, & Empowerment.
Required Qualifications
Must meet one of the following criteria:
- Have a graduate degree in psychiatry, psychology, social work, nursing, education, rehabilitation or in the field of human services, plus at least 2 years of experience in a CASSP system program.
- Be a licensed registered nurse (RN) with at least 5 years of experience, including at least 2 years of experience in a CASSP system program. Plus have a certification by the Department's Office of Mental Health (OMH) as a mental health family based worker.
- Have a bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, rehabilitation, education, pre-med, theology, anthropology or in the field of human services. Plus have a certification by OMH as a mental health family based worker (such as have an ESFT certification).
This position works M-F and offers flexible scheduling for client sessions! Work schedule may vary based on client needs and requires at least 3 evenings per week.
Compensation
- Billable: $33 per hour
- Non-Billable: $15 per hour
- PTO/Holiday: $25 per hour
