Job Description
Chevo is hiring an experienced Junior Technical Writer/Editor-Federal Programs, to join our expanding firm in the Washington, DC area. This position provides the opportunity for significant client interaction by learning the client’s business and becoming a trusted advisor. Ideal candidates will demonstrate versatility in understanding and performing work related to DHS IT Governance and Oversight engagements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops, writes, and edits materials for manuals, reports, studies, customization of training materials, and other types of documentation for varied audiences. Develops high-visibility, multi-faceted documents.
- Uses guidelines such as program objectives and identified audience needs, researches, writes, edits, and designs a variety of technical and promotional project specific materials.
- Researches appropriate subject-matter literature and proofread copies of regulation / guideline manuals for accuracy of interpretation and grammar.
Required Qualifications:
- B.A. or B.S. required
- 4 Years of Technical Writing in the Federal Government
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous experience working on IT or Systems Engineering programs is a plus
- Previous experience supporting DHS in general, or U.S. Coast Guard in particular is a plus.
SALARY RANGE: $64K-75K (subject to change)
ELIGIBLE FOR PERFORMANCE BASE BONUS
