Job Description
Business Operations Support – Business Analyst SME
TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance required.
Base pay range
$165,000.00/yr - $185,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance data systems to track procurement metrics and organizational effectiveness.
- Create and deliver high-quality reports and dashboards using Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services, and Intelligence/Business Objects.
- Customers routinely, manually create reports. Position supports both process improvement and process automation.
- Power Apps and Power Automate are used routinely.
- Ability to process data, provide feedback, and shape operations. Able to build processes to intake large amounts of data and synthesize it to a useable report. Build reports that link data from multiple sources into a single product.
- Design and manage custom databases using Microsoft Access and SharePoint Online.
- Create and deliver high-quality reports and dashboards using Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services, and Intelligence/Business Objects.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align reporting with mission objectives and provide actionable insights.
- Utilize knowledge of DoD business management systems such as POM, GFEBS, MIPRs, and CERP.
- Provide analysis on post‑award contract execution for federal government acquisitions.
- Support procurement operations and financial processes in compliance with FAR, DFARS, AFARS, and other DoD policies.
- Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.
Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities
- Minimum of Associate degree in Business, Technology, Accounting, or related field; prefer Bachelor’s Degree.
- At least seven (7) years of experience within the past ten years developing data systems to monitor performance metrics.
- Minimum two (2) years of recent experience as a procurement analyst or contract specialist supporting federal contracts.
- Proficient in business intelligence tools, data visualization tools, and business automation systems, such as Microsoft Power BI, SQL Reporting Services, SharePoint Online, Power Automate, Power Platform, and AI platforms such as Army Vantage and Palantir.
- Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote.
- Strong knowledge and application of FAR, DFARS, AFARS, and DoD procurement regulations.
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Experience working with DoD acquisition planning and financial systems.
- Familiarity with task‑order based contract structures and evolving role definitions.
- Must pass pre‑employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
