Certified Nursing Assistant with Hospital Experience

Duties

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices
• Monitor and record vital signs accurately while maintaining strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
• Support medical teams by preparing patients for procedures, assisting with specimen collection such as phlebotomy, and managing medical supplies and equipment
• Document patient information thoroughly in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Provide specialized care for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or behavioral health needs, including memory care and behavioral interventions
• Assist in emergency situations by supporting acute care teams in Level I trauma centers or ICU settings, including basic life support (BLS) procedures
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in various settings such as inpatient units, outpatient clinics, hospice care, or post-acute environments to ensure comprehensive patient care

Requirements

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with current licensure required
• Proven hospital experience across departments such as, Emergency Medicine, Medical-Surgical units, or Level II Trauma Centers
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient care documentation standards
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms
• Ability to perform vital signs assessment accurately and maintain aseptic techniques during procedures such as catheter care or medication administration
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare professionals and provide empathetic patient service
