Legal Executive – Media & Entertainment
Location: Hyderabad (Onsite)
Experience: 2–5 Years

About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Legal Executive to support legal operations within the media and entertainment ecosystem. The role involves drafting and negotiating contracts, advising on intellectual property matters, managing legal documentation, and collaborating with producers, content creators, studios, and production houses.
The ideal candidate will have strong contract management skills, a sound understanding of IP and media laws, and the ability to provide practical legal solutions that align with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Drafting & Negotiation
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a variety of legal agreements, including:
- Rights Assignment Agreements
- Licensing Agreements
- Co-Production Agreements
- Artist Agreements
- Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
- Content Exploitation and Distribution Agreements
- Ensure legal documentation adequately protects client interests while supporting commercial goals.
Stakeholder Management
- Represent the organization in discussions with producers, writers, directors, production houses, artists, and other industry stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients and creative professionals.
- Coordinate with internal business, creative, and production teams to facilitate legal approvals and documentation processes.
Legal Advisory & Business Development Support
- Explain legal structures, rights protection strategies, and risk mitigation approaches to producers and content creators.
- Support business development initiatives by presenting legal service offerings to prospective clients.
- Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice tailored to the media and entertainment sector.
Compliance & Legal Operations
- Assist in developing and implementing internal legal policies, compliance frameworks, and standard operating procedures.
- Manage the complete contract lifecycle, including drafting, approvals, execution, renewals, amendments, and record maintenance.
- Ensure organized legal documentation and contract repositories.
Industry Engagement & Knowledge Sharing
- Support and participate in IP workshops, webinars, consultation sessions, and industry events.
- Stay updated on developments in intellectual property law, media regulations, digital content laws, and industry trends.
- Share insights and recommendations with clients and internal stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB); LLM is an added advantage.
- 2–5 years of experience in contract drafting, IP law, media law, entertainment law, or related legal functions.
- Strong understanding of intellectual property rights, licensing, content rights, and commercial contracts.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

- Experience working with media, entertainment, production houses, OTT platforms, content creators, or IP-focused organizations.
- Strong attention to detail and contract management expertise.
