Research & Development Chemist – Pharmaceuticals

About the Role

Chemco Innovative Chemie Pvt Ltd is seeking a skilled Research & Development Chemist to support innovation, synthesis, and process development for specialty chemicals, pharmaceutical intermediates, and APIs. The role focuses on transforming laboratory findings into scalable, compliant production processes in coordination with the R&D Head and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on R&D experience in fine chemicals, intermediates, or APIs.
• Knowledge of analytical instruments such as HPLC and GC.
• Strong experimental, documentation, and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with GMP, ISO, and ICH norms.
• Self-driven, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced, innovation-focused environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi.
• Willing to work in 8-hour shifts, including night shift when required.
• Willing to travel as needed for work-related assignments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct lab-scale synthesis, reaction optimization, and process development in line with project objectives.
• Maintain accurate experimental logs, analytical records, and project documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices.
• Ensure work is aligned with cGMP, GLP, ISO, and internal quality protocols.
• Coordinate with the analytical team for testing and characterization of intermediates and final products.
• Support process optimization, pilot trials, troubleshooting, and scale-up activities.
• Assist in technology transfer to production, including batch protocols and process validation.
• Track data, document deviations, and contribute to continuous process improvement.
• Liaise with Production, QA/QC, Regulatory, and Marketing teams for smooth project handover and commercialization.
• Participate in literature surveys, feasibility assessments, FTO reviews, and patent checks when required.
• Suggest improvements for yield enhancement, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to new product development and technical feasibility evaluation.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
