Job Description
The continuous growth for Online Travel Agency in Canada presents an outstanding opportunity for market growth. CheapOair.ca is searching for a Brand Strategy & Product Manager with strong e-commerce product knowledge to support our fast-growing organization.
The Product Manager will lead the product development, performance, analytics, content implementation for Canadian websites and will play a central role in shaping the customer experience across our digital platforms for the Canadian market. This Product Manager will be responsible for driving growth in customer conversion, revenue, customer acquisition, and customer retention. As the product owner, you will launch new products and build experiences that specifically cater to the needs of customers in the Canada market and help grow market penetration.
This role will offer the opportunity to define and execute a roadmap based on a business vision, market trends, customer feedback, and business analytics in the travel product space.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
You will:
- Create and implement a brand strategy for the Canadian market, working closely with key stakeholders across the company to achieve strategic goals and grow our Canada travel brand(s).
- Develop and execute quarterly and annual product roadmaps to offer innovative products, seamless customers experiences and more value to customers and help grow the CheapOair.ca brand in Canada.
- Gather data-driven insights about our business and customers, providing strategic recommendations for business, products, and marketing efforts.
- Lead cross-functional projects and act as the subject matter expert for Canadian consumers.
- Utilize data-driven insights to build personalized experiences for various customer segments, maximizing relevance, engagement and conversions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, legal, data, operations, and other product and business groups to align product initiatives while acting as the subject matter expert for Canadian consumers.
- Engage engineering, design, data teams to conceptualize, prioritize, and deliver innovative product and features.
- Design and execute thorough A/B tests and continuously optimize product performance towards business goals.
- Lead industry and non-industry competitive analysis and research in the Canadian market to cater to customer needs and preferences.
- Advocate for prioritizing work that will advance Canadian market penetration, influence the product development items through the entire life cycle, from conception to launch.
- Engage marketing team to drive meaningful traffic growth with strong conversion rate support.
- Communicate with internal and external partners/customers for new product development, engage with vendors and suppliers to build market specifics integrations.
- Work closely with marketing department towards increasing qualified traffic to sites,and with operations team to help reduce customer pain points post booking.
- Own the product development from start to finish, ensuring well defined epics, features, user stories in advance.
- Identify and report threats (including bugs) to the brand to all relevant departments and help to troubleshoot solutions.
- Collaborate with legal for all legal or compliance issues, as well as new or existing features on the site.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 6+ years of product management experience in a consumer-focused B2C e-commerce product management role. Bonus if you have experience in the travel space.
- MBA or related Master degree
- Fluent in French
- Experience in Quebec e-commerce will be an advantage
- Proven track record of leading successful products and initiatives from ideation to launch and optimizations, driving measurable business impact.
- Deep e-commerce knowledge of what makes a great online travel brand, preferably in the Canada market.
- Have a strategic mindset with a willingness to jump in and get the work done.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency to drive product roadmap decisions, deep experience with tools like Google Analytics/GA4, Fullstory, PowerBI, Microsoft Application Insights, Excel.
- Bonus points if you are comfortable designing technical flows leveraging data, AI, ML technologies.
- Passion for customer-centric innovation, a deep appreciation of user behaviour analysis, and be able to articulate vision supported by data driven storytelling to influence key stakeholders.
- Proactive and willing to call out issues and suggest changes including to the leadership as needed.
- Ability to juggle multiple cross-functional initiatives, develop strategic product plans for each, in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across diverse teams.
- Fluent in Agile principles and methodology.
