On-Call Studio ROCKS Teacher

Location: Columbia Rd, Washington, DC

Reports to: OST Program Manager

Position Type: Full-time , Non-Exempt

Salary: $19.20/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM (split shift). Must be available for full 8-hour shifts during school closures (winter, spring, summer camps).

Position Summary:

The Studio R.O.C.K.S. Teacher will collaborate with the program's leadership team to facilitate the curriculum for the before and after-school extended learning program. The teacher will manage grade-level classes, lead project-based learning activities, and ensure student safety.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Execute all curricula with high energy, actively engaging all students.
• Manage gradelevel classes and studios.
• Track student progress on literacy and math software.
• Input daily student attendance and meal counts.
• Provide student dropoff and pickup services to feeder schools.
• Communicate with parents about student progress as needed.
• Supervise students and follow all dismissal procedures.
• Collaborate with the Studio R.O.C.K.S. leadership team.Qualifications:
• A High School Diploma or an Associate's Degree is preferred.
• Must have 12 years of experience working with schoolage children.
• Experience working in a multicultural environment.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office, is needed.
• Must obtain CPR and First Aid certifications within 30 days of employment and maintain them.
• Possess strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Must be flexible regarding schedules and tasks.
