Online Math Teacher

Requirements

We are looking for passionate and dedicated educators who:

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree (Education major preferred)
• Have teaching or tutoring experience with Elementary School or High School students
• Are familiar with the Ontario curriculum and assessment standards
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to student growth and academic success
• Have excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Are highly motivated, positive, independent, and professional

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with the following qualifications will be strongly preferred:

• Degree in Education
• Classroom teaching experience in Ontario or other English-speaking countries
• Experience teaching Ontario Elementary or High School math
• Familiarity with Ontario curriculum expectations and Growing Success
• Experience teaching Grades 1–8 and/or High School math
• Experience integrating coding concepts into math instruction

Responsibilities

• Teach and engage students in online math classes
• Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials based on the Ontario curriculum
• Maintain a positive, professional, and supportive learning environment
• Supervise and support students during class activities
• Provide feedback and monitor student progress
• Collaborate effectively with the teaching team

Technical Requirements

Candidates should:

• Be comfortable using Zoom and Google Classroom for online teaching
• Be familiar with Kahoot and other online teaching platforms
• Be familiar with drawing/annotation apps on tablets or computers
• Have experience marking digital homework and assignments

Candidates must also have access to:

• A reliable computer or tablet
• Stable internet connection
• A device suitable for online teaching and marking assignments
