CCACC Academy is a nonprofit educational institution located in Rockville, MD. We offer year-round instruction for students PreK - Grade 5, with rigorous curriculum in various subjects carried out within a state-of-the-art facility to promote advanced thinking and exploration of new learning methods. CCACC Academy’s summer camp is a 10-week program that offers 56 courses in 9 subject areas, some of which include STEM, Performing arts, Chinese, and many more. The camp offers both full day and half day options, with classes for children aged 3 to 13 that run up to 7 hours every day Monday through Friday. Through our camp, we aim to reinforce students’ self-discovery, independence, confidence, and resilience while engaging them in a fun-filled curriculum!

Arts Instructor - Sculpting Clay and DIY Crafts (Summer)

CCACC Academy is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled visual arts instructor - specializing in clay working and sculpting - for the Summer of 2022. The instructor will be responsible for children between the ages of 6 and 8, and should have prior experience in visual arts.

Position Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute age-appropriate curriculum and lessons to elementary school students
• Communicate with colleagues, parents, and administration about program and learning goals

Qualifications

• Experience in sculpting and clay working (please be prepared to present a portfolio of your work)
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent classroom management skills

Schedule:

• 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Monday - Friday
• July 20th -July 24th ( 5 Day Camp) & July 27th - July 31st (5 Day Camp)
