About the Team

MUSE builds and houses the financial and risk models Client uses to run the business. This role is developer-focused (not a financial modeler), delivering reporting, dashboards, automations, and data pipelines that communicate model usage, inventory, and risk to senior management.

What You'll Do

  • Build Power BI dashboards and paginated reports that visualize model inventory, usage, lineage, owners, performance, and risk posture for leadership.
  • Translate stakeholder requirements into data models, DAX measures, and reusable datasets.
  • Use Python (e.g., boto3 , pandas ) to pull/transform data from AWS S3 and other sources; write/optimize SQL for joins, windowing, and aggregations.
  • Implement Power Automate flows to orchestrate refresh, notifications, and approvals.
  • Partner with MUSE/MRM SMEs to ensure accuracy, traceability, and compliance with model governance.
  • Create high-quality documentation (definitions, lineage, controls, testing evidence).
  • Work across Agile sprints, collaborate via JIRA/Confluence, and present work to diverse business audiences.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Power BI (strong hands-on) data modeling (star schema), DAX, Power Query (M), reusable datasets, Row-Level Security (RLS), performance tuning.
  • Python for data engineering (pull from AWS S3; transform with pandas).
  • SQL (solid querying, CTEs, window functions, performance considerations).
  • Power Automate (build and maintain production flows).
  • Financial services experience in mortgage, lending, or credit risk.
  • Exposure to model contexts (e.g., MRM Model Risk Management, or MUSE model database/inventory).
  • Excellent written communication; strong documentation, testing evidence, and stakeholder presentation skills.
  • Proven success working on hybrid teams, meeting strict deadlines, multitasking, and adapting to changing priorities.

Nice-to-Have

  • Prior Client or Freddie Mac experience (big plus).
  • Salesforce knowledge (Cloud platform experience and/or certification).
  • Additional BI exposure (Tableau is used internally, but Power BI expertise is required for this role).
  • Familiarity with model governance, controls, and inventory tooling.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering (or equivalent practical experience).
