Job Description
We are looking for a Camp Teachers to join our team and help create a fun and safe environment for our campers. The ideal candidate must have OCT License, have experience working with children, be able to Plan and lead learning activities, and be comfortable in a variety of outdoor settings. The teachers will be responsible for supervising campers, organizing activities, and ensuring the safety of all participants. We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping children learn and grow in a positive environment.
Job Period and Hours: June 29 th to August 14th, Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 4 pm. Work Location: St. Henry Catholic School,100 Bamburgh Cir, Scarborough, ON M1W 3R3
Job Requirements:
Demonstrates a serious, responsible, and attentive attitude, ensuring student safety while fulfilling teaching duties.
Proficient in teaching mathematics, reading, and spelling to students aged 6-7(Grade 1 )in English, and able to deliver Chinese language lessons in standard Mandarin.
Skilled in organizing and implementing group games and competitions for students.
Delivers engaging and interesting program, motivating students to actively participate and ensuring effective teaching outcomes.
Punctuality, adherence to work hours, and consistent attendance are essential.
Free lunch provided.
We welcome teachers with an OCT (Ontario College of Teachers) certification.
Job Responsibilities:
- Developing a comprehensive 7-week summer course plan
- Supervise and mentor campers.
- Lead camp activities and events.
- Enforce camp rules and regulations.
- Maintain a safe and fun environment for campers.
- Develop positive relationships with campers and staff.
- Provide guidance to campers on social, emotional, and behavioral issues.
