Do you thrive on organization, momentum, and getting things approved? Are you energized by keeping complex processes moving and watching projects turn into reality? If so, Caruso Homes is looking for a Permit Coordinator to play a critical role in driving our homebuilding success.

As a Permit Coordinator, you’ll be the point person who keeps our construction projects moving forward—coordinating approvals, managing timelines, and working closely with municipalities, engineers, and internal teams to ensure homes start on time.

You’ll:

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and submit residential building permits and re‑site requests
  • Track permit status and maintain accurate starts and permit documentation
  • Work directly with counties and municipalities to expedite approvals
  • Coordinate with engineers, architects, and consultants (well, septic, utilities)
  • Request utilities and manage service coordination for new home starts
  • Prepare permit fee information and bank draw documentation
  • Request and evaluate building services proposals
  • Participate in meetings with permit runners and project engineers

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 1 year of permitting experience (residential preferred)
  • Experience with single‑family and/or townhome permitting is a plus
  • Ability to read blueprints and site plans
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Clear, confident written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • A proactive, team‑oriented mindset with a drive to get results
