Job description

Seeking a Service Writer with experience. Unfortunately we do not have time to train anyone from scratch at this time. We need an advisor with bare minimum of 3 years experience in a shop. Preferably an independent shop. We're a busy and fast growing automotive service center with lots of opportunity for growth.

Duties

• Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
• Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues
• Generate repair orders and provide detailed explanations of recommended services
• Communicate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs
• Provide estimates for automotive services and obtain customer approval
• Coordinate with parts department to ensure necessary parts are ordered and available for repairs
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions
• Process payments and handle cash transactions

Skills required for this job :

• Need to have a basic understanding of the anatomy of automobiles and how they work
• You must know how to dress nicely and keep good hygiene
• Must be able to operate a computer and type efficiently
• Automotive service knowledge, including understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair processes
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
• Proficient in computer systems and software used for generating repair orders and invoices
• Cash handling experience is preferred

Pay: $70,000 - $100,000 per year , varies based on skill level experience and efficiency

Expected hours: 45-50 hours per week
