What You Will Do The Firefighter/Paramedic plays a crucial role in the emergency response of Carroll County Government. You will respond to emergency situations with calm, quick actions. We are looking for a strong understanding of EMS protocols capable of helping citizens and basic life support providers through crisis.
Your day-to-day will include important decisions to balance medical needs, overtake challenges, and take critical actions to provide advanced life support, firefighting, and rescue.
Essential Duties
- Administer and direct basic and advanced life support emergency medical care. Provide guidance and support to basic life support providers.
- Respond to emergencies to render aide, extinguish fires and effect rescues.
- Drive and operate emergency vehicles and fire suppression equipment safely and effectively.
- Check inventory and maintain equipment, vehicle and medical supplies. Complete inspections to verify vehicles, tools and equipment
