What You Will DoAs an Apprentice Operator I in the Utilities Division, you will assist in the operation and maintenance of water distribution systems and facilities. Working under the direction of a supervisor, you will perform inspections and provide general maintenance. The work you do will support safe and efficient operations in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.Essential DutiesOperate and monitor water distribution systems and facilities to ensure public safety and efficient performance.Perform inspections and provide general maintenance of water distribution systems and facilities. Evaluate inconsistencies and report problems to supervisor.Operate specialized equipment as required.Maintain facilities, equipment, and tools.Compile data and complete routine paperwork including logs and reports.Follow all established safety rules and regulations. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.Complete assigned work in a timely fashion. Accept feedback.Demonstrate an ability to collaborate and a willingness to learn.
