Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Digital Marketing Specialist (Performance & Technical) to own and scale our marketing engine at Carousel. This role is ideal for someone who combines deep technical marketing expertise with strategic thinking, strong creative instincts, and a relentless focus on measurable growth.

You won’t just execute campaigns; you’ll design systems, build scalable frameworks, improve the website experience, and drive data-informed decisions that directly impact revenue.

About the Role

As our Senior Digital Marketing Specialist, you will lead performance marketing and SEO strategy end-to-end. You’ll be responsible for architecting acquisition funnels, optimizing marketing infrastructure, and building a high-performance growth engine powered by data, experimentation, and automation.

You’ll work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives, while identifying new opportunities to scale efficiently across paid acquisition, SEO, website conversion, and on-site user experience.

This is a fully onsite role based in our Montreal office. We believe speed, creativity, and strong collaboration happen best in person.

Responsibilities

  • Own and scale paid acquisition strategy across Google Ads and other channels, with full accountability for performance and budget allocation
  • Design and optimize full-funnel strategies, from traffic acquisition to conversion and retention signals
  • Lead technical SEO strategy, including site architecture, crawl optimization, indexing, and performance improvements
  • Develop advanced reporting frameworks and dashboards to monitor KPIs, cohort performance, and channel efficiency
  • Identify growth opportunities through deep analysis of campaign, user behavior, and funnel data
  • Drive a culture of experimentation through A/B testing, incrementality testing, and continuous optimization
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and design teams to improve landing pages, user journeys, and conversion rates
  • Own website iteration and optimization, including page updates, landing page improvements, layout recommendations, and conversion-focused enhancements
  • Use Figma to create, refine, and communicate landing page structures, wireframes, and marketing design changes for fast execution
  • Evaluate and implement new tools, automation workflows, and marketing technologies to improve scalability
  • Mentor and provide guidance on best practices in performance marketing, analytics, and growth experimentation as the team grows

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in performance marketing, growth, or digital acquisition roles with increasing ownership
  • Advanced expertise in Google Ads, GA4, and Google Tag Manager, including complex tracking setups
  • Strong experience with technical SEO (site audits, indexing, Core Web Vitals, structured data)
  • Strong Figma proficiency, with the ability to contribute directly to website pages, landing page structure, UX improvements, and marketing design direction
  • Proven track record of scaling paid campaigns with clear ROI and revenue impact
  • Deep understanding of attribution models, funnel optimization, and conversion tracking
  • Experience improving websites and landing pages in collaboration with design and development teams
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Looker Studio or similar)
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and translating insights into strategic actions
  • Experience collaborating with technical teams (engineering/product) is a strong asset
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and a bias toward action
