Experienced Dealership Office Manager

We are seeking an Office Manager / Assistant to Group Controller to join our accounting team. This role supports the Controller in managing all accounting functions within our dealership group, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in automotive dealership accounting, with hands-on experience in processing car deals, accounts receivable (A/R), and accounts payable (A/P).

Knowledge up to and including Month End Close is preferrable.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Accounting Department with daily, weekly, and monthly accounting processes.
• Commission and process new and used car deals, ensuring compliance with internal and manufacturer requirements.
• Maintain accurate and organized deal jackets and related documentation.
• Perform A/R functions, including posting customer payments, reconciling accounts, and managing outstanding balances.
• Manage A/P tasks such as vendor invoice entry, statement reconciliation, and payment processing.
• Collaborate with sales, service, and parts departments to resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Provide backup support for office and accounting functions as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ of experience in an automotive dealership accounting environment.
• Strong knowledge of A/R, A/P, and deal processing and Month End Processes.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred

• Experience working directly with Controller or Office Manager within a Canadian dealership.

Pay: $60,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
