Overview The Integrated Clinical Specialist in Infusion Therapy and Medication Management was established to lead and advance Infusion Therapy program, including vascular access device management and Medication Management programs. We are seeking a highly skilled, dedicated, and self-motivated individual to support the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care. As a key member of our Clinical Nursing Excellence team, this position will focus on providing expert nursing care, guidance, and leadership in both infusion therapy and medication management.

The Clinical

Specialist will play a pivotal role in shaping interprofessional best practices across the patient care continuum, from birth through end-of-life, supporting both clinical teams and patients. This role involves close collaboration with internal and external partners to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes are achieved. Additionally, the Clinical Specialist will serve as a subject matter expert in skill development, working alongside Clinical Practice Leads and the Learning and Development team to foster ongoing professional growth.

This role requires occasional travel across Ontario to support regional operations, including attendance at meetings, site visits, and other operational or program-related activities, as directed by organizational priorities.

In addition, the position includes in-office attendance at our Waterloo, Ontario location as directed . Candidates must be able to travel within the province and attend the Waterloo office when required to support team engagement, regional alignment, and effective service delivery.

  • This position offers a competitive compensation range. The salary range is $90,000 to $105,000 , and placement within the range will be determined in accordance with company policies and procedures, as well as the candidate's knowledge, skills, qualifications, and relevant experience.

Advance Standards of Care and Professional Practice in Infusion Therapy and Medication Management

  • Champions a culture that is committed to and passionate about patient-centered, high-quality and integrated care and the identification of transformative opportunities in enabling point-of-care excellence in every patient and caregiver interaction.
  • Promotes and maintains the application of standards of care, best practice and/or core competencies into the development of processes and policies supporting infusion therapy in home and community care.
  • Leads the co-design, implementation and evaluation of the clinical infusion program at local branches that align with current standards, evidence-based practice, organizational needs and external customer requirements.
  • Collaborates with interprofessional patient care teams, operations, and quality and professional practice leadership to support the implementation of local, regional, and provincial strategies that will advance excellence in clinical infusion care outcomes from a population health lens.
  • Implements evidence-based infusion care using an integrated care delivery approach, including understanding and elevating the roles of ALL health care professionals (i.e. Personal Support, Therapies and Nursing).
  • Maintains and supports capacity building in development and maintaining clinical competency for front-line teams in infusion therapy and medication management principles.
  • Develops and implements infusion management coaching and mentoring programs to ensure the delivery of best practices.
