Hiring: Lead Backend Engineer (Java / GCP / Spring boot) – 9 Month Contract
We’re looking for a solution-oriented Lead Backend Engineer who thrives on designing high-scale, cloud-native systems in the financial domain. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll drive architecture decisions while mentoring a small, highly focused engineering team.

What You'll Do
- Design and scale distributed microservices architectures for financial systems
- Lead and mentor a small team of 2–3 engineers through hands-on coding and rigorous PR reviews
- Translate complex financial and regulatory requirements into robust technical solutions
- Build secure, high-throughput backend services with strong focus on performance and maintainability
Tech Stack
Cloud: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, Docker
Backend: Java (modern features like Virtual Threads & Records)
Frameworks: Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security
Databases: MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL
Security: Cryptography, service-level encryption, secure transaction design
What We’re Looking For
Strong experience architecting cloud-native microservices on GCP
Deep expertise in Java and Spring ecosystem
Experience building secure, compliant financial systems
Ability to lead technically while staying hands-on
