Job Description

We’re hiring for an executive to lead Sales & Marketing (consisting of Marketing, Partnerships, Sales and Customer Success). This position would report to the CEO. Our company is big on ownership, but soft on titles, so the exact title may be different for the successful candidate.

The successful candidate will own the entire revenue engine/funnel by leading a small team dedicated to marketing, partnerships, sales and customer success. For the right candidate, there is the possibility for this role to grow into ownership of an Integrator / Operations role, to include potentially other day-to-day business functions.

This is a home office-based position as Care1 is exclusively a remote company.

Primary focus = Sales & Marketing

You will own the end-to-end revenue funnel from lead generation through to closed revenue. This is a player-coach role, as you will lead, but also personally execute and work with customers, especially in the area of partnerships.

Responsibilities include

  • Lead a high-impact team across marketing, sales, customer success, and partnerships (4 direct reports)
  • Own and scale the end-to-end revenue funnel, aligning all functions around pipeline and growth targets
  • Drive awareness and optimize demand generation (social, partnerships, conferences, webinars) to build a consistent pipeline
  • Personally execute strategic corporate partnerships as a marketing channel, as well as directly sell into leadership at corporate chains, to drive adoption across Canadian optometry clinics
  • Develop and execute sales strategy, while coaching the team and supporting key deals
  • Strengthen customer onboarding, retention, and expansion to maximize lifetime value
  • Establish and manage KPIs and CRM infrastructure to ensure visibility and performance across the funnel
  • Personally represent Care1 in the market through events, partnerships, and industry engagement.
  • Translate company strategy into focused plans, timelines, and measurable outcomes. Including utilization of annual and quarterly goals
  • Drive alignment, accountability and execution across all teams, ensuring priorities are clear and progress is tracked.
  • Identify and remove execution bottlenecks across functions to improve speed and efficiency
  • Help build scalable processes and systems that enable growth without adding unnecessary complexity

Who You Are

  • Growth-oriented and results-driven. You think in terms of pipeline, revenue, and outcomes, and have a track record of delivering them
  • A hands-on builder comfortable in early-stage environments, who can both lead and execute across marketing, sales, partnerships, and customer success
  • Highly organized and operationally strong, with the ability to bring structure, clarity, and focus to a fast-moving team
  • A proven people leader with deep management experience, able to coach, align, and develop high-performing teams
  • Able to create accountability and elevate performance across functions, ensuring teams are aligned around shared goals and executing effectively
  • Comfortable acting as an integrator, translating strategy into clear priorities and driving consistent follow-through across the organization
  • Able to work in a lean yet strategic manner. We are a company that runs on profits, savings and stakeholder investments, we do not have VC or institutional funding. We value growth just as much as profits.
  • Able and interested in personal execution. The successful candidate would be expected to be the point person and to personally execute high-level partnerships for both marketing and enterprise sales purposes.

Requirements

  • 5-12+ years of experience in marketing, sales, go-to-market, or business leadership roles
  • Proven track record of owning and growing a revenue pipeline
