About the Role

We are looking for a passionate Junior Software Developer to join our growing CarCred engineering team. You will work on building secure, scalable financial applications across web and mobile platforms while learning industry best practices in cloud, DevOps, and compliance-driven development.

Key Responsibilities

Development

• Assist in developing and maintaining applications using:
• PHP and Node.js (backend services)
• React.js (web frontend)
• React Native (mobile apps for iOS & Android)
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code under guidance from senior developers.
• Participate in debugging, testing, and performance optimization.

API & Integration

• Work with RESTful APIs and assist in building backend services.
• Integrate third-party APIs and internal services.
• Support microservices-based architecture development.

Database & Data Handling

• Work with MySQL databases for data storage and retrieval.
• Write basic queries, joins, and assist in query optimization.
• Ensure proper handling of sensitive financial data.

Cloud & DevOps Exposure

• Gain hands-on experience with Azure App Services.
• Assist in CI/CD processes using GitHub Actions.
• Support deployment, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting.

Security & Compliance Awareness

• Follow secure coding practices and company security policies.
• Assist in implementing:
• Data protection and encryption practices
• Audit logging mechanisms
• Learn and adhere to compliance standards such as:
• ISO 27001
• SOC 2
• DPDP Act (India)

Testing & Quality

• Write and execute unit and integration tests.
• Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback.
• Ensure high-quality deliverables aligned with team standards.

Documentation & Collaboration

• Maintain basic technical documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, Product).
• Actively participate in agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning).

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

Technical Skills

• Basic knowledge of:
• PHP or Node.js
• JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• React.js (preferred)
• Understanding of:
• REST APIs
• Database concepts (MySQL preferred)
• Familiarity with:
• Git / GitHub
• Basic SDLC concepts

Soft Skills

• Strong willingness to learn and grow.
• Good problem-solving and logical thinking.
• Effective communication and teamwork.

Good to Have

• Internship or project experience in web/mobile development.
• Exposure to React Native.
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
• Awareness of fintech or banking applications.
• Exposure to CI/CD concepts.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹35,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
