Position Overview
We are seeking a Business Developer to drive growth within an assigned vertical market. This role is responsible for developing a territory strategy, generating new business, and closing deals while partnering internally to ensure successful client implementation and long-term satisfaction.
This is a base salary plus commission role designed for someone who is competitive, self-directed, and motivated by results. Listed compensation is the base salary range.
What You’ll Do
Sales Strategy and Execution
- Develop and execute a territory sales plan within a defined vertical market
- Identify, prospect, and qualify new business opportunities
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline through cold outreach, networking, and referrals
- Conduct needs assessments and present tailored service solutions
Client Acquisition and Closing
- Lead the full sales cycle from initial outreach through contract execution
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals
- Negotiate pricing and terms while maintaining company margin expectations
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
Client Experience and Implementation
- Partner with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service launch
- Maintain strong client relationships post-sale to support retention and growth
- Conduct periodic service check-ins and quality assurance reviews
Operational Discipline
- Track all activity in CRM and maintain accurate pipeline reporting
- Provide regular sales forecasts and performance updates
- Respond promptly to inbound inquiries and client needs
Market Awareness
- Monitor competitors, industry trends, and market conditions
- Identify new vertical opportunities and contribute to growth strategy
- Represent the company at networking events and industry functions
What We’re Looking For
Experience
- 3+ years of business development or sales experience
- Proven success in closing deals and hitting revenue targets
- Experience in residential and/or commercial sales required
- Background in service-based or B2B sales environments preferred
Skills
- Strong closing ability with confidence in negotiation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strategic thinker with the ability to build and execute a plan
- Highly organized with strong pipeline management habits
- Comfortable with CRM systems and digital sales tools

Location
